We believe that County hockey is a super important environment for players aged U13-17 to thrive and experience representative hockey in their own age groups in a psotive and challenging environment. The Talent System is founded on the Player Development Model: County Hockey is an important part of the Talent Foundations stage - part of the start of talent development before progressing into Talent Academies, along with complementing and stretching those involved in club and school age-related hockey. TALENT FOUNDATIONS > County, Club & Schools TALENT DEVELOPMENT > Elite Clubs PERFORMANCE DEVELOPMENT > National Age Squads ELITE PERFORMANCE > National Senior Squads County, Clubs and Schools can nominate players for progression to Talent Academies throughout the season, and an important way for coaches to observe and assess players, as well as being another gret way to get more hockey time and coaching from a broader set of coaching experience.
